Milender White is looking for a Construction Safety Manager for our Denver International Airport (DIA) project. The Safety Manager plays a key role in day‑to‑day construction safety activities, including site presence, hazard recognition, and proactive risk reduction.
This role is ideal for someone with construction safety experience who is looking to advance their career within a strong, fast paced airport safety environment. This position offers the opportunity to oversee safety on a high‑profile construction program.
The Construction Safety Manager reports directly to the Field Safety Manager, with regular interaction and visibility to the VP of Field Operations. This role primarily field based, with approximately 75–100% of time spent on site at DIA supporting active construction operations and working closely with project teams and subcontractors.
What Milender White expects from a Safety Manager:
- Participate in accident, incident, and near‑miss investigations, assist with root‑cause analysis, and support corrective action development and tracking.
- Review subcontractor safety plans, verify compliance with project and company safety expectations, and support subcontractor mobilization.
- Attend contractor morning pre‑task planning meetings, safety meetings, subcontractor and foreman meetings and provide real‑time safety support in the field.
- Conduct high‑risk activity assessments with project teams, document findings, and report assessment data to the Safety Manager for review and control implementation.
- Support safety training and education efforts. This includes delivering or assisting with site‑specific safety training, toolbox talks, and ongoing education for the project team and subcontractors.
- Promote a strong safety‑first culture by maintaining visibility in the field, coaching crews, and reinforcing safe work practices.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, document observations, track corrective actions, maintain safety records, and assist with reporting and compliance requirements.
- There may also be opportunities to take on increased responsibility and leadership within the safety program.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Board of Certified Safety Professionals CSP with at least 4 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience; or Hold a Board of Certified Safety Professionals ASP, GSP, or SMS with at least 6 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience; or Hold a Board of Certified Safety Professionals CHST or OHST with at least 8 years of full-time relevant construction safety and health experience.
- Completed the OSHA 500 course for construction within the last 24 months
- Provide proof of non-expired completion of a Red Cross or approved equal for Cardio–Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillation (AED).
- Provide proof of completion of FMCSA compliant 2-hour drug and alcohol reasonable suspicion supervisory training.
- Knowledge of and ability to fulfill contractor safety representative’s responsibilities
- Must pass background check and drug testing.

Compensation Range: $105,000 to $125,000
