Position Summary:
The purpose of the IT Technician is to ensure the proper functioning of user workstations, software, and peripherals. This role manages the daily operations of the organization’s help desk and support services by having exceptional problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills. It is important for the person in this position to have a strong technical understanding of the various hardware, software, and networking systems being supported. This position is located in Arvada, CO and typical work hours are Monday-Friday from 8 am-5 pm.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

  • User workstation and server maintenance to include taking the initial telephone or email inquiries and troubleshooting and making hardware, software or network corrections.
  • Analyzes and identifies trends in issue reporting and develops preventative solutions.
  • Educates staff on IT help desk tickets and proper use of this program.
  • Escalates more difficult issues to IT Director and works closely to find resolution for the user.
  • Demonstrates company values and culture. A positive, professional attitude.
  • Job site set-up and maintenance
  • Printer/copier maintenance.
  • Employee set up.
Position Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
  • Four or more years of help desk experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and communicate with others at all levels of the organization.
  • Customer service oriented and customer friendly attitude.
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Proficient in the following:
    • Windows Operating Systems (Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Server 2008, and Server 2012.)
    • MS Office Software (Office 2010, Office 2013)
    • Networking
