Position Summary:

This is an opportunity to participate in a specialized role in the Accounting Department out of our main office located in Arvada, Colorado, working on bank and GL reconciliations, invoice processing, monthly postings, insurance, and internal billings, as well as other processes to support the Accounting Department. This opportunity provides technical development and unique experiences in construction/real estate accounting. The ideal candidate must be self-starter who is detail oriented, analytical, tech savvy, and a great communicator, preferably with experience in public accounting.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank reconciliations
• Job cost accounting with minimal errors
• Review and process invoices timely
• Budget variance analysis
• Create monthly journal entries accurately
• Communicate effectively with subcontractors regarding invoices via email/phone
• Daily GL reconciliations
• Insurance tracking a reconciliation to ensure seamless processes are in place
• Daily internal billings and allocations
• Able to sit or stand at a desk the majority of the work day. Lifting 5+ lbs., bending, reaching occasionally.

Qualifications and Skills:

• College degree in accounting plus 1-3 years of experience in public or private accounting required
• Strong computer proficiency especially with Excel and Word
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrates analytical capability and problem identification skills
• Passion for quality work with strong attention to detail and initiative
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Proven organizational skills. A motivated, contributing team member
